Welcome! I am glad you have arrived. My sincere desire is that you will discover clarity of mind, hope that anchors you, and truth that brings lasting freedom. 

It is all too common, even in churches, that men and women face problems and difficulties that seem to shake or shatter the foundation of living – the abundant life that Christ promises. Marriages are often stressed to breaking and people are disconnected. In workplaces, careers are affected because of the battles people face in their private life. In ministries and churches, staff and members often get discouraged, disillusioned and burned out. But there is a Biblical solution for all of us - all walks of life, no matter your situation or capability. God always meets us at the very point where we need Him.

And at TruthWorks Christian Counseling, together we will seek to find solutions, healing, and practical life applications in God’s Word, the Bible. At TWCC, we are working out Truth in life to experience lasting freedom from the inside out. We do this by applying scripture to struggles, hurts, and challenges to produce healing, growth, and change. This establishes a solid foundation for continual growth. 

I have discovered that much of what research and psychological studies show, has been in Scripture all along. My approaches are professional, tried-and-true, and grounded in Biblical truth. I spend time focusing on thoughts, beliefs, and perspectives, and then line them up with the Bible using practical counseling methods that are sound, healthy, and productive. We cultivate a solid ground for true life change to happen through renewing your thoughts and beliefs, thereby impacting how you feel and what you choose to do.

TruthWorks Counseling and Life Coaching services teach new patterns of living and relating — lining up with God’s Word and purpose for your life.  Since living out God’s purpose comes with its challenges, we sort through these challenges together and seek how God’s Word speaks to your life. You will learn how to live through the wisdom and power of Christ within you as a believer, and as result, you will see changes in your thoughts, emotions, and choices. You will better see yourself the way that God sees you… and what a difference that will make in your life!

TruthWorks Consulting, Training and Seminar services provide information, practical tools, and individualized support for minsters and church staff, ministries, and faith-based organizations, in areas of mental health and current trends, pastoral/ministry stressors, and staff equipping and encouragement. These services will give you the foundational tools and confidence to answer God's call to care, as you bring hope to those dealing with the pace, pain, and pressure of everyday life. TWCC strives to be a trusted resource for those who minster to others.  

Heather is a licensed professional counselor, board certified life coach, and licensed minister who has diverse involvement in the mental health field for 25 years. She is an experienced counselor, college adjunct instructor, keynote speaker, workshop presenter, Bible study teacher, and ministry leader. 

Heather’s professional involvement includes the fields of counseling, social work, and early childhood behavioral consultation, most recently focusing on program development and coordination, grief and healing support, and suicide prevention. Much of her hands-on experience consists of training and coaching education and mental health professionals, church ministry volunteers, and small group leaders.
